The Isle of Sheppey – A small, but very popular area. Sheppey sits off of the North Kent coast, and is only about 8.5 miles long by 5 miles wide in total. It has traditional seaside locations, nature reserves, and has a good reputation for fossils.

‘Elmley marshes houses the Royal Society for the protection of birds site’, with its hides where thousands each year sit quietly anticipating a glimpse of visiting water birds. It is the northern side of Sheppey that is known for its good beaches, Sheerness probably the best know area.
